Lake Norman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram has a vibrant history that blends two remarkable legacies. Our dealership was initially founded by Jack Salzman, a Florida native and Olympic medalist. After graduating from Auburn University with a degree in business administration, Jack earned his juris doctorate from Nova Southeastern University but never officially put his degree to use. Instead, he pursued his entrepreneurial interest and opened a cell phone company, eventually partnering with a local dealership. Jack made a lasting impression and was ultimately hired as a sales manager for the dealership, officially launching his career in the automotive industry.

After learning the ropes of the industry, Jack and his wife opened Lake Norman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and a second dealership. Together, the couple set out to become a nationally recognized dealership, achieving that goal many times over by delivering a world-class customer experience. Jack was named TIME Dealer of the Year in 2018 and shared the stage with his wife in 2021 when the Charlotte Business Journal named them the “Most Admired CEOs for a Family-Owned Business.”

Jack’s dedication to his customers and the community made Lake Norman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram the most trusted dealership in the Carolinas. For many years, our dealership has led North Carolina and South Carolina in vehicle sales, often earning a place as a Top 10 seller in the country for new and Certified Pre-Owned sales. This level of success garnered the dealership even more attention, prompting a new chapter in our legacy in 2023.

A New Chapter

Today, Lake Norman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is proud to be part of the prestigious Parks Automotive Group. Hubert Parks launched his career in the automotive industry after his service in the United States Army. Instead of returning home, he ventured to Winston-Salem, where he could turn left to get a job at Sears Roebuck and Company or turn right and try his hand selling cars at Modern Chevrolet. Parks turned right, forever changing the local automotive landscape for the better.

Parks built an incredible reputation for his charisma, treating every customer like family. Eventually, he opened his first Chevrolet dealership, becoming a cornerstone in the community and laying the foundation for the Parks Automotive Group. Still family-owned and operated, the Parks Automotive Group continues Hubert’s legacy of welcoming every customer with open arms and a smile.
