Drivers who need a heavy-duty truck to tow construction equipment, go camping, or enjoy the most remote trails have counted on the Ram 3500 for over 30 years. As your Ram dealer near Charlotte, Lake Norman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram proudly offers this one-ton pickup to deliver the power and ruggedness serious truckers need. However, buyers can expect something different when the 2025 Ram 3500 arrives at our showroom.

For the first time since the fifth-generation Ram pickup was unveiled in 2019, the Ram 3500 HD is getting a makeover. While details have been sparse ahead of the full reveal, a few key points have leaked that should make people excited. Here’s what we know so far about the revised 2025 Ram 3500 and how those updates will help people work, play, and live to the fullest in and around The Queen City.

A Major Tech Boost for Modern Truckers

It’s no secret that people want and need the latest tech in their vehicles. Whether they’re looking for a big infotainment screen to see navigation instructions or updated driver assist to help them across any terrain, the 2025 Ram 3500 delivers the goods. Although some of the 3500-specific information isn’t out, it’s expected the tech layout will be at least as good as the announced setup for the also-refreshed Ram 1500.

What does this mean? For starters, expect a standard 12-inch infotainment touchscreen, blowing the previous 5-inch and 8.4-inch standard screens out of the water. Upgrade further to a 14.5-inch main display plus a 10.3-inch passenger screen so they can control the music while you focus on rush-hour I-77 traffic. The digital gauge display will also be bigger at 12.3 inches to see the latest data about your ride—and we’re anticipating an available 10-inch head-up display with full color.

Other likely updates include a standard digital rear-view mirror and dual wireless charging pads on select trims. Furthermore, in the initial photo releases of the Ram Heavy-Duty lineup, eagle eyes noticed a rectangular radar unit below the front grille (more on the grille in a moment). This is a telltale sign that a hands-free driving system is coming to the 2025 Ram 3500—beating Ford and GM to the punch for offering such assistance on HD trucks. The hands-free system will likely resemble the semi-autonomous mode on the Ram 1500, letting your truck do some of the work on compatible roads.

An Aggressive Yet Modern Exterior for a Go-Anywhere Attitude

The radar unit wasn’t the only thing noteworthy about the new look of the Ram 3500. Designers have retained the brawn this pickup is known for while making some tweaks for a contemporary appeal. On the brawn front (pun intended), the grille is redesigned with a sideways “C” shape and forward lean so the nose looks larger and more imposing. When Ram released the photos, they said they were working on cooling testing, and it’s believed the grille shape is part of this. Better cooling will increase the towing capacity and performance so that you can haul even more. We’re also speculating the added cooling could be for possible engine upgrades, though we’ll have to wait and see on that front. The exact nose appearance will be trim-dependent, including whether the grille is body color or blackout.

What we don’t need to wait on is an up-close view of the new headlight and taillight designs. The headlamps have a sleek contemporary look, and they’ve each been divided into two thin elements surrounding the grille rather than one larger unit. More than a fashion statement, this acts as a safeguard for if a bulb fails—now you’ll have three headlights left working instead of one, giving you the visibility you need to make it home from a worksite.

Higher Ram 3500 trims are equipped with all-LED headlamps that offer excellent brightness, efficiency, and longevity while being less of a distraction to other drivers than projectors. Lower-level trims will have amber halogen bulbs in the lower assemblies, a budget-friendly choice that also helps with visibility in rain and fog. As for the jeweled tail lights, they have also been streamlined and now have a reverse-C shape in line with the front grille. It adds up to a mix of suaveness and boldness that big-city Ram owners will love.

Could the Ram 1500’s Tungsten and Warlock Trims Be Coming to the Ram 3500?

One other big change we’re expecting comes from the Ram 1500 ranks. When the refreshed Ram 1500 was announced, it included the all-new Tungsten trim for unparalleled sophistication and work. Considering the 2024 Ram 3500 trim lineup was almost identical to the Ram 1500—the only difference being replacing the Ram 1500 HFE with the Ram 3500 Power Wagon—it’s practically a guarantee the 2025 Ram 3500 Tungsten and Warlock will soon grace Charlotte roads.

What will these trucks offer? The Tungsten has been positioned as the top of the range with every interior amenity under the sun, including quilted leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, metal pedals, suede wrappings, and a Klipsch Reference Premiere 23-speaker audio system. It will also have a standard power tailgate and unique tail lights. Basically, the Ram 3500 Tungsten will be the closest thing available to a heavy-duty limousine for cruising around Charlotte and beyond.

As for the Warlock, it’s essentially a value-friendly version of the popular Rebel trim with a one-inch factory lift, Bilstein shots, a rear e-locker, skid plates, and other features. This trim will let people enjoy the extras they need to tackle tougher terrain, even if they don’t have the budget for the Rebel. It’s one more way the Ram Heavy-Duty series will cater to all levels of truck owners.

Can We Expect Other New Features?

Plenty more details are sure to be released in the coming months about the 2025 Ram 3500. We’ll keep you posted on them as those details are revealed. As it’s a refresh and not a new generation, the dimensions and mechanical layout will largely remain the same. However, if the Ram 1500 is any indication, we could be in for things like available steering-adaptive headlights, using your phone as a key, rear obstacle detection, and even an improved turbo-diesel engine. We’re eagerly awaiting the full unveil as much as any enthusiasts. With three strong engine options, a maximum 7,680-lb payload and 37,090-lb towing capacities, and a high-end interior with excellent rear legroom, the 2024 Ram 3500 was already a remarkable truck. Now, it’s about to get even better.
